This path over the Waltersdorfberg is affectionately called Berglerweg by the locals.

Hiking improves endurance and strengthens the musculoskeletal system. In addition, regular exercise has positive effects on physical as well as mental health. The starting point of the hiking tour is the information office in the center of Bad Waltersdorf. The 8.7 km hike leads to Neustift and Waltersdorfberg. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view.

Directions

At the beginning of the tour you will take some impressions of the center of the 2-thermal region Bad Waltersdorf. A visit to the Roman Stone Museum next to the parish church is highly recommended. Start the tour in the direction of Mariensäule and turn right at the pharmacy. It goes past the balloon center Kindermann-Schön to the neighboring village Neustift. There you have to turn left and 200 m after the end of the village you have to keep left again at the settlement of houses. Then turn left again, up the hill through the so-called "Hofwald" to Waltersdorfberg. At the end of the forest there is a right-left combination, where you have to follow the asphalt road. Finally you walk downhill again to Bad Waltersdorf to the starting point.

Am Beginn der Tour nehmen Sie einige Impressionen des Ortszentrum der 2-Thermenregion Bad Waltersdorf mit. Ein Besuch im Römersteinmuseum neben der Pfarrkirche ist sehr empfehlenswert. Starten Sie die Tour Richtung Mariensäule und biegen bei der Apotheke rechts ab. Es geht beim Ballonzentrum Kindermann-Schön vorbei bis in die Nachbarsortschaft Neustift. Dort müssen Sie links abbiegen und 200 m nach dem Ortsende müssen Sie sich bei der Häusersiedlung wieder links halten. Danach wiederum links, den Hügel hinauf durch den sogenannten "Hofwald" nach Waltersdorfberg. Am Ende des Waldes kommt eine rechts-links Kombination, wo Sie den Asphaltweg folgen müssen. Zuletzt wandern Sie wieder bergab nach Bad Waltersdorf zum Ausgangspunkt.
