The nature reserve, named in 2008, is located between Lichtenwald and Hohenbrugg. It gives many bird species a wonderful habitat. Due to many preserved pollen, the moor is a valuable archive for scientific research of vegetation from the last 2.500 years. You can find sweet chestnut, walnut & cereal pollen and many more.
Lichtenwalder Moor is a place of tranquillity for nature enthusiasts. The lovely, quiet and rarely frequented place is perfect for birdwatching.
This area is suitable for prams because of small viewing platforms.
